Dear Parents,

I would like to take a moment of your time to welcome you and your student to Lorain County Joint Vocational School. My name is Mr. Csizmadia and I am one of the instructors teaching the Modern Social Issues course at the JVS.

Our students will be covering a lot of material in a short span of time. Attendance and punctuality are of the utmost importance. They will have high expectations to meet. With the necessary commitment and your support, I am sure they will be successful.

M.S.I. Syllabus

Course Description

Modern Social Issues is the study of current concerns. Issues include social justice, national security, economic interdependence, and the environment. Through the use of text material, worksheets, video, lecture, and in-class discussion the student will gain a well-rounded perspective of our society's major concerns.
