Memorial Scholarship - Two $500 scholarships available to any Ohio resident pursuing a career path that is related to the HVACR industry may apply.

Criteria: Be a high school senior graduating in 2016, be a child of a Foreign Service employee, maintain a satisfactory academic record (cumulative 2.0 GPA)

Criteria-a commitment to the hospitality industry - hotel/restaurant management, culinary arts, travel/tourism, or hotel administration. $500-5,000 scholarships.

Scholarship applications for the 2017-18 school year will open in early 2017

The program has specific scholarships for incoming freshmen and upper-level undergraduate students. All of the scholarships are based on financial needs and with the usual minimum GPA requirement of 3.0.

Full and partial scholarships for students enrolled in the University of Toledo Computer Science and Engineering program through the University Partnership at LCCC.

Qualifications: 3.21 cumulative GPA and 24 composite ACT, 3 essay questions (300 words or less), and 3 letters of recommendation

Deadline: January 31st (priority with full consideration). Applications will be accepted through June 15th on a funds available basis.

Must be a Midview student.
2-3 page typed paper describing a goal you have set for yourself, how you worked to achieve that goal, and whether it was achieved or not.

$3,000 Criteria: active participant of Skills USA, FCCLA or Prostart for at least one year. Complete scholarship application for CIA by April 1st , and 500 word essay, and Enroll at the CIA by June.
Complete the College Now Scholarship application, be recommended by your College Now advisor, cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5, minimum ACT composite score of 18 OR combined verbal and math SAT score of 940, one page essay explaining interest in art, dance, fashion, music or theater and how this scholarship would help you to achieve your life goals.

Criteria: Enrolled in a community college career technical program by fall, exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program at an accredited non-profit community college in the United States, demonstrate financial need, demonstrate perseverance in overcoming adversity, and involvement in community service activities.

Student with plans to enter college no later than the fall after graduation; a strong commitment to pursuing a bachelor degree at an accredited institution. Critical financial need ($50,000 or less adjusted gross income per family; involvement in community and co-curricular activities; demonstrates integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity. Requirements: Must be enrolled for the fall quarter/semester 2017 at a two or four-year college or university in Ohio as a full-time student, must be enrolled in an agricultural or natural resource related field, must have a 2.5 minimum high school GPA, must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA for the first quarter/semester.

Open to students in the following : Collision Repair, Auto Technologies, Industrial Equipment Mechanics , Masonry, Carpentry, Plumbing, Industrial Electricity, Welding, Precision Machine Trades or Landscaping.

Amount varies. Recipient may receive the awards for two academic years as long as they maintain award eligibility criteria.

Eligibility: Any Lorain County College Tech Prep program graduate who continues on in their College Tech Prep pathway at LCCC, minimum 2.5 overall high school GPA, minimum of a "B" in their college tech prep program, must file 2016-2017 FAFSA & have their EFC reported by FRIDAY, JUNE 10TH.

Scholarship Amount: The amount of the scholarship varies but averages $500.00 (may be more or less).

Eligibility Criteria: Be a graduating LCJVS senior; be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in the following academic year as a full-time student at an accredited post-secondary school within the United States; be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.; applicant does not need to have ever donated blood; have a 2.0 GPA or above while enrolled at the LCJVS; and have the heart of a vocational learner and be sincere about pursuing post-secondary education.

Attention Seniors whose parents/guardians are members of Lorain-Medina Rural Electric Cooperative. LMRE offers TWO separate scholarship opportunities.
1. Children of members scholarship- LMRE will award two $3,000 scholarships to one senior boy and one senior girl. The runners-up in each of the two divisions will receive a $2,000 scholarship award. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 of better.
2. Touchstone Energy Achievement Scholarship- LMRE will issue a $1,000 scholarship to a student who has overcome personal or family challenges by demonstrating a high level of maturity, has high standards of character, demonstrates determination in coping with their circumstances, has good citizenship traits, and a record of contribution to their local community - all values expressed by the Touchstone Energy brand.

Due date: No later than 4pm on Friday, January 20, 2017.

This scholarship is awarded to a deserving IEM graduating senior of the Industrial Equipment Mechanics class from the Lorain County JVS. The scholarship is funded by donations from the family and friends of the late Ryan Woodrum. The selection is made by the committee of the Lorain County JVS Teachers' Association. This is a $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship is included in the Lorain County JVS Educational Foundation & Teachers' Association Scholarship packet.
