Scholarships

The Superintendent's Scholarship was established in 1997 to reward students who have done well in the 9th and 10th grades. As a career-technical institution, the JVS is dedicated to promoting the ideals of today's employers. In partnership with business and industry we encourage the development of a positive work ethic which includes good attendance and achievement in academic skills.

Up to $100 per student will be awarded. The money awarded will be used first for unpaid school fees, including tools, required clothing and equipment. After fees are paid, money will be granted to the students.

Selection Criteria

• Student must be accepted as a junior to the JVS.
• Student must have met requirements of the Ohio Graduation Test.
• Student must have had a 95% attendance rate during his/her 9th and 10th grade years.
• Student must obtain a transcript from their home school or JVS counselor for verification of their attendance and graduation results.
• Applications must be submitted, with corresponding documentation, to the JVS Student Services Office by the first Friday of October.
