Early Childhood Education Students Receive High Honors at Regional FCCLA Competition Early Childhood Education students that participated in the Regional FCCLA Competition. March 18, 2008 -- The following Lorain County JVS Early Childhood Education students were victorious at the regional Family Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Competition held at the EHOVE Career Center in March. All students will advance to the State FCCLA Competition in Columbus next month. Avon Chelsea Taylor received a silver medal in the Chapter Service Manual Event. Avon Lake Aarika Baker received a gold medal in the Chapter Service Display Event. Columbia Shauna Keller received a gold medal in the National Programs in Action Event and a silver medal in the Early Childhood Team Event. Elyria Illysa Gagne received a silver medal in the Chapter Service Manual Event. Firelands Tiffany Crigger received a gold medal in the Teacher Resource Kit Event. Marissa Mayer received a gold medal in the Chapter Showcase Display Event. Keystone Amy Reaser received a gold medal in the Chapter Service Display Event. Midview Misty Tyree received a gold medal in the National Programs in Action Event and a silver medal in the Early Childhood Team Event. Kelly O’Neil received a gold medal in the Chapter Showcase Display Event and a silver medal in the Early Childhood Team Event. Wellington Rachael Wagner received a gold medal in the Chapter Showcase Display Event and a silver medal in the Early Childhood Team Event. Jessica Pasta received a gold medal in the Chapter Service Display Event. FCCLA is a national career-technical student organization that offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life -- planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communication -- necessary in the home and workplace.
