Hospitality Students Receive Gold Medals at FCCLA Competition Malarie Mass and Samantha Gregory April 12, 2008 -- Lorain County JVS students Samantha Gregory and Malarie Mass earned a Gold medal in the Hotel Linen Operations Competition at the recent regional Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Competition held in Boardman. These students received the top score in this event. The Brookside High School students are both in the JVS Hospitality Services-A Program. They will advance to the state FCCLA competition at the Ohio Exposition Center in Columbus on April 16th. FCCLA is a national career-technical student organization that offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life -- planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communication -- necessary in the home and workplace.
