Early Childhood Education Students Advance to National Competitiion The following students (from left) will represent the JVS at the National FCCLA Competition: Chelsea Taylor, Marissa Mayer, Kelly O’Neil, Illysa Gagne, Rachael Wagner. May 8, 2008 -- The following Lorain County JVS Early Childhood Education students were victorious at the State Competition of Family Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) held in Columbus. Avon Chelsea Taylor received a gold medal in the Chapter Service Manual. Avon Lake Aarika Baker received a gold medal in the Chapter Service Display Event. Columbia Shauna Keller received a silver medal in the National Programs in Action Event. Elyria Illysa Gagne received a gold medal in the Chapter Service Manual Event. Firelands Marissa Mayer received a gold medal in the Chapter Showcase Display Event. Tiffany Crigger received a gold medal in the Teacher Resource Kit Event. Ryan Tolbert received an honorable mention for her state project, "Freedom." Keystone Amy Reaser received a gold medal in the Chapter Service Display Event. Midview Misty Tyree received a silver medal in the National Programs in Action Event. Kelly O’Neil received a gold medal in the Chapter Showcase Display Event. Wellington Jessica Pasta received a gold medal in the Chapter Service Display Event. Rachael Wagner received a gold medal in the Chapter Showcase Display Event. In addition, the following students will advance to the National FCCLA Competition in Orlando, Florida in July: Chelsea Taylor, Kelly O’Neil, Rachael Wagner, Marissa Mayer, and Illysa Gagne.
