December 6, 2009 -- Chris Coker, a senior from Wellington who attends the JVS Networking Communications Technology Program, recently was named 'Player of the Week' for boys soccer.

Chris helped his Wellington team win the district finals against Oberlin. They beat Rootstown in the regional semi-finals, but unfortunately lost to Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy in the regional finals.

Chris has been playing soccer for eleven years and wanted to continue playing while attending the Lorain County JVS.

Besides soccer, Chris' hobbies include music and photography. After graduation, Chris plans to pursue a career in criminal justice.
