December 22, 2009 -- Senior Law Enforcement students in Mr. Csizmadia's American History class embraced the spirit of the holidays by collecting donations for the "Giving Tree" project. The "Giving Tree" allows students and staff members of the JVS to support the Lorain County community.

Dozens of mittens, scarves, and knit caps were collected and used to decorate the tree in the faculty room. Students and faculty all contributed with clothing, including several winter coats and blankets, and monetary gifts.

Along with the knit items, $200 in cash was collected and will be donated to The Chronicle-Telegram's "Not Forgotten Box" and the Salvation Army.

According to Mr. C., "The success of this project was another example of the generous spirit here at the JVS. It was also a fantastic opportunity for the students to witness and express that same generosity."
