August 16, 2010 -- Students in the first year Cosmetology Program at the Lorain County JVS Adult Career Center participated in a Creative Head Styling Contest. They were given a styrofoam head and asked to create a stylish product.
The students not only designed their hair masterpieces, but also spent a great deal of time fashioning makeup and creating faces on the styrofoam forms.

Their creations were on display and were judged by students in the second year Cosmetology program and Adult Career Center staff.

The 1st Place winner was Amber Ortiz from LaGrange and her model 'Snow White'. There was a tie for 2nd Place with winners Jessica Nguyen from Elyria with her model 'Lelana' and Tracy Virant with her model 'Brigid, The Earth Goddess'.

Cosmetology instructors, Margie Lucas and Donna Steinbrenner agreed, "It was so hard to choose the winners-the students all did such a fabulous job with their creations!"
