Students in the JVS Adult Career Center's cosmetology program recently toured the Aveda Institute in Mentor, Ohio.

"The purpose of this field trip was to give our students exposure to one of the work environments they might like to explore after they graduate and receive their state-board license," stated instructor Marge Lucas. "This salon was very large, employing 106 people in several positions including stylists, massage therapists, estiticians, and retail specialists."

"A highlight of the tour was learning about the company and its products," continued Lucas. "Aveda Products are all natural and manufactured using wind energy. Their salons are eco-friendly; even the boxes and paper products are made from recycled materials."
