JVS Places Levy on Ballot for November Election
The Lorain County JVS is important to everyone in our community and to our region's economy. Each year, the JVS provides job training and re-training to more than 3,000 adults and career-technical education to 2,000 high school students.
The Lorain County JVS placed Issue 15, a general operating issue, on the November 8th ballot to help us keep the classes and programs that students and employers need.
Issue 15 will replace the current 0.75 mills and add 1.0 mill for day-to-day operations. The JVS has not asked for new money in 25 years.
Issue 15 will help keep our technology and labs up to date, ensuring we provide the best possible training for Lorain County jobs. In order for Lorain County to grow businesses and opportunities for our kids and families, we must invest in the resources that prepare people for good jobs.
You can learn more about Issue 15 by visiting www.lcjvs.com or liking us on Facebook.
