Maintenance of an organizations infrastructure is critical in today’s highly competitive business environment. Maintenance programs and personnel are also key elements sited in quality management systems such as ISO. Companies rush to upgrade equipment and processes to improve their competitive edge. The advance in technologies has made maintenance of that infrastructure more demanding then ever. Employees assigned to maintenance activities often find themselves behind on the technology curve. The lack of training of maintenance employees is often the cause of unscheduled downtime and loss of productivity. The Adult Career Center at the JVS can help in training maintenance employees.
