What is JVS Healthy Restart?
JVS Healthy Restart is the Lorain County JVS' ongoing plan to safely resume high school classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are currently reviewing what the upcoming 2021-2022 school year will look like.
What does the fall schedule look like?
Lorain County JVS is finalizing details for our 2021-2022 school year. Information will be sent to families and posted on the website as soon as it is available.
How are you keeping students and staff safe?
The health and safety of our students and staff was the number one factor when we created this plan. Before coming to the building, everyone is required to complete the Daily Health Assessment
. If you answer yes to any of the questions, DO NOT come to the building.
Based on updated guidance from the CDC and Governor DeWine, face masks are optional while in the building. Hand sanitizer stations have been installed throughout the building, along with signage reminding everyone to wash their hands frequently and thoroughly. Social distancing is strongly encouraged where possible.
We are cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas frequently.
How was this plan made?
We worked directly with the Lorain County Board of Health and the Ohio Department of Education to develop the best guidelines for a healthy educational experience for our students. We also gathered input from parents, students, and businesses in our community since a well-rounded plan is important to us.
How can I get updates?
