  • Responsibilities / Skills Needed: SUMMARY:
    This role will help find, grow and promote partner/customer relationships in conjunction with the Sales Team. The position will be responsible for helping Chalfant Manufacturing grow and increase sales/profitability across all products available. The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers. He will be able to identify needs and requirements to promote our company’s solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction.

    • Contact partners through, but not limited to, phone calls, email, visits and seminars to communicate opportunities to extend initiatives with the company.
    • Conduct selling efforts. Provide sales quotations, order entry, answer phones and emails.
    • Keep current on competitor’s part numbers.
    • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
    • Build relationships to collaborate with marketing, manufacturing, logistics, manufacturers’ representatives, and all other related departments to facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns and offerings.
    • Facilitate programs to gather requirements and features from customers and their communities to augment sales, marketing, development, support, product management, and business and technology partnerships, and others as needed.
    • Keep customers informed and up to date on the status of all projects.
    • Participate in client interactions to ensure cross-training, customer satisfaction and management involvement regularly. Ensure communications are frequent and bi-directional.
    • Responds to requests from customers for information and gives online presentations.
    • Engages in technical discussions with potential clients through demonstrations and presentations.
    • Remains knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in our project suite.
    • Explain products or services and prices, and answer questions from customers.
    • As necessary review customer drawings. Redesign if necessary. Develop bill of material in order to create quote. Send quote to customer and follow up until PO is received.
    • Review bid documents for cable tray products, review technical specifications and respond accordingly with compliant product offerings detailing Bill of Materials that meet the requirements. When appropriate provide alternate products while detailing the NON-COMPLIANT but alternate items.
    • Follow up with customer until sale is complete and delivered. Troubleshoots issues with customers and functions as liaison with outside representatives.

    • Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and proprietary manufacturing software.
    • Ability to build relationships with multiple outside sales representatives and distributors to ensure highest levels of customer service.

    • Ability to work collaboratively across all functional teams.
    • Customer/Client Focus. Understands the requirements and challenges of the customer base electrical distributors, electrical contractors, electrical engineers.
    • Flexibility.
    • Quick learner. Has the ability to acquire an understanding of Chalfant/OBO Bettermann product lines and parts.

  • Pay Range: Salary $45,000 to $50,000
