  • Responsibilities / Skills Needed: Key Responsibilities:
    Repair and perform preventative maintenance on belts, piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, valves, bearings, and mechanical seals.
    Troubleshoot and proof test of equipment as necessary to solve problems and pro-actively prevent them.
    Maintain, repair and troubleshoot mechanical, and electrical systems to include: pumps, valves, bearings, mechanical drives, electrical circuits, motors, belts, fasteners, pneumatics including pneumatic control systems, conveyors, actuators, pipe fitting, production and packaging equipment.
    Install, test, and maintain control devices, pressure sensing units, and flow measuring devices install calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair Allen Bradley PLC’s and install, test and maintain process motor control systems.
    Work from detailed technical documents, blueprints, schematics, etc.

    3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and/or related skilled trades.
    Two years of technical training with state of the art maintenance practices preferred.
    High School diploma or GED preferred.
    Experience using basic hand tools and power hand tools.
    Excellent communication from explaining equipment to operators on the floor to presenting recommendations for continuing plant and process improvement to management.
    Solid Mechanical and Electrical background.
    Ability to work with limited supervision.
    Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical documents and drawings of plant process equipment.
    Computer and PLC skills. Experience with Allen Bradley Panel view systems and Allen Bradley PLC networking equipment desired.
    Experience working with ABB DCS systems and prior experience with a CMMS preferred Micro-Main a plus.
    Understanding of basics of hydraulic theory and its applications understanding of applicable utility systems and understanding of plant instrumentation/control systems such as level detection, temperature measurement, mass and magnetic flow meters, etc.
    The candidate must possess basic math skills in areas of addition/subtraction, multiplication/division.
    The ability to work in a team environment and take ownership over area of responsibility.
