  • Responsibilities / Skills Needed: Position Summary:

    Responsible for safely operating and general maintenance of all decorating equipment including large format printer, direct to garment printer with heat tunnel, heat press, laser engraver, embroidery machine, sublimation printer and other decorating equipment when. This position will also be responsible for safely operating the production level copiers, binding equipment, guillotine cutter, shrink wrap machine, scoring/perforating machine, gluing binder, and industrial punch. Required to set up customer orders accurately on all machinery, perform quality control of all finished products while ensuring that production schedules are met.

    Essential Functions:


    • Set up artwork with machine operating software to produce accurate finished merchandise using the most efficient method.
    • Troubleshoot images and file errors in software to ensure accuracy of end product.
    • Perform color correcting in PMS and CMYK formats.
    • Manipulate files to increase production output.

    Order Set-Up

    • Review order specifications and adjust machine settings to correct measurements.
    • Choose correct materials to use for each job requested.
    • Select and insert correct templates when necessary.

    Machine Operations

    • Comply with all established manufacturer and company safety policies for each machine.
    • Monitor machine operations during execution of decorating task ordered.
    • Troubleshoot causes of improper machine operation outcomes during order fulfillment.
    • Verify quality of finished products to ensure they meet company established metrics and production deadlines.
    • Perform preventative maintenance of machinery as required by manufacturer’s guidelines.
    • Maintain proper inventory of supporting supplies for each machine from cost-effective vendors.
    • Complete print projects on the production level printers in coordination with in-house designers.
    • Assist with recording special instructions for working with certain materials.
    Complete mailroom functions as required.

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Proficient in file editing software with a preference on the Adobe Creative Suite specifically Illustrator, Acrobat and InDesign with the ability to manipulate files and troubleshoot errors.
    • Relevant work experience that demonstrates skills that are directly applicable to decorating equipment operation including demonstrated understanding of color methods
    • Basic math skills addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
    • Dependable, with excellent multi-tasking skills.
    • Highly organized and detail oriented.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
    • Ability to work with tight deadlines.
    • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and over-time as required.
    • Ability to perform computer skills on both the MAC and PC.

    • Work experience in environment that used similar equipment.
    • Product printing background.
