  • Responsibilities / Skills Needed: •Effectively uses shop packages to include, but not limited to manufacturing orders, bill of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts, and quality alerts
    •Ensures that gases and tools that are used are within calibration dates
    •Sets up and operates multiple machines simultaneously as required by the routing
    •Sorts and reworks non-conforming parts as required
    •Performs work according to released material methods 100 of the time
    •Follows safe working practices and notifies any supervisory personnel or safety team member if an unsafe condition is observed
    •Achieves efficiency targets
    •Produces product to established quality standards and notifies direct supervisor if non-conforming product is found
    •Participates in SQCD Board meetings as scheduled
    •Performs quality checks per WEOP0855 and associated Inspection Record QF08120
    •Demonstrates respectful behavior with all employees
    •Operates with sense of urgency when required
    •Requests raw material in a timely manner as needed for production and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures
    •Understands and follows employee handbook
    •Understands and knows where the Material Safety Data Sheets are located
    •Fills out daily labor cards correctly, completely, and on time
    •Is present and punctual according to work schedules starting time, quitting, rest clean up periods
    •Able to develop multiple skills for multiple cells as needed
    •Maintains all surrounding areas for cleanliness, orderliness, and organization per established 5S practices
    •Discusses all questions and concerns with direct supervisors in a timely manner
    •Performs and documents preventative maintenance according to released methods 100 of the time

    Qualifications of CNC Set up / Operator include:

    •High school education or equivalent
    •Minimum 2 years’ experience
    •Basic computer knowledge desired
    •Ability to safely and properly operate and set up various production machines
    •Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and blue prints
    •Ability to write simple correspondence and fill in required quality forms
    •Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
    •Ability to read and properly use measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges, and other inspection devices as needed
