Robert D. Beecheler Memorial Scholarship

The Robert D. Beecheler Memorial Scholarship was established in 2004 in memory of Robert D. Beecheler by his brother William Beecheler, and other family members and friends.

Robert D. Beecheler served in the Navy during World War II. He owned Bob's Appliances and a gas station in Lorain, Ohio. He was a retired teacher from Admiral King High School and also taught in the JVS Adult Career Center.

Selection Criteria 

  • The scholarship will be awarded to an Adult Career Center student enrolled in the Building Trades program who is a veteran or the child of a veteran.
  • May be used for tuition, textbooks, and/or tools.
  • Selection is based on the listed criteria and financial need.
  • Selection will be conducted by the Adult Career Center Staff in cooperation with the Veteran's Administration.
  • Scholarships are one-year nonrewnewable and will be awarded in the fall. If there are no qualified students the scholarship may be awarded the following spring.
