JVS Senior Receives 110% Award

Wyatt Collins

Industrial Equipment Mechanics senior, Wyatt Collins from Wellington, was recently presented the 110% Award. This award, sponsored by AgCredit, is available to the three different FFA Chapters in Lorain County.

This honor is given to the student who has gone above and beyond his/her duties for their chapter and is chosen by the chapter advisor(s).

Mason Bremke, JVS Industrial Equipment Mechanics instructor and FFA advisor, shared that Wyatt was the student who would always go above and beyond for every FFA event. “Wyatt did not just complete a task or participate in an event, he would try his best to ensure everything would work properly and be completed. He is a great leader, is task oriented and helpful to others. He is an outstanding student and FFA member!”

“Wyatt received his state degree as a junior, and earned a gold rating this year on his treasurer’s book, something only one other treasurer has done before,” Beth Berthold, JVS Landscape and Greenhouse Management instructor and FFA advisor said. “I know we surprised him with this award, he turned quite red.”

“I am very thankful for this award,” Wyatt said. For his future plans, Wyatt will continue to work on his family’s dairy farm.

Wyatt received a certificate and a monetary gift of $50 from AgCredit. AgCredit is a cooperative agricultural lending institution specializing in lending for farms and rural property, as well as improvements and equipment
