Students from the Lorain County JVS Heating
& Air Conditioning program participated in the annual Air Conditioning
Contractors of America (ACCA) competition at Stark State College on Saturday,
February 29. Forty students from various Northeast Ohio schools
participated in several events including - electrical troubleshooting, HVAC
service, brazing, sheet metal and soft skills.
The students who competed are listed below:
CLEARVIEW
Xavier Pinto, junior, received a silver in
sheet metal, a silver in electrical troubleshooting and the overall highest
school score
COLUMBIA
Stephen Stansberry, senior, received a gold
medal in electrical troubleshooting
MIDVIEW
Nathan Keller, junior, received a bronze medal
in the brazing event
NORTH
RIDGEVILLE
Darren Lightner, junior, received silver medal
in the brazing event
Zachary Januska, junior, also competed
