FFA Students Compete in Virtual Floral Competition

Four  JVS FFA Chapter members recently competed in the FFA Floriculture Career Development event.

Four JVS FFA Chapter members recently competed in the FFA Floriculture Career Development event. Due to current restrictions, this year’s competition was given online. 
 
This FFA competition requires students to identify plants, fresh flowers, tools, and diseases.
 
The JVS team, which consisted of Landscape and Greenhouse Management seniors Emily Wells (Midview) and Victoria Sprague (Keystone) and Industrial Equipment Mechanic seniors Edwin Hicks (Firelands) and Spencer Gottschling (Elyria) placed 2nd in the state.
 
Additionally, Wells placed 7th individually and Sprague placed 8th.
