The JVS staff recently completed a donation drive for Veterans Who Care, a local non-profit organization that provides assistance to local Veterans, their families and the local community.
Craig A. Lukes, president trustee of Veterans Who Care, stopped out to the JVS to pick up the donations from the school district, and was thankful for the generosity of the staff.
“Items just like this are what we are always looking for,” shared Lukes. “It helps to get them set up with the necessities, as we help find them housing.”
Over a hundred dollars and many bags of personal hygiene items were collected during the donation drive.
Veterans Who Care serves over three hundred veterans a year.
