Welcome to the Treasurer’s Office

The Lorain County JVS Treasurer’s Office is proud to serve the students, families, partners, and communities that shape our district. Under the leadership of Cory Thompson, Treasurer, our office oversees and manages the financial operations of one of Ohio’s top-performing career and technical education districts.

Each year, Lorain County JVS serves over 2,000 high school and adult learners, employs more than 230 staff, and operates on an annual budget of $25–30 million. We are committed to strong fiscal stewardship that ensures every dollar supports our mission of workforce development and education excellence.

Our office provides:

  • Financial services to students, families, staff, and vendors

  • Oversight and analysis of all district financial activity

  • Fiscal guidance through board policies, state/federal regulations, and best practices

  • Transparent reporting and accountability to all stakeholders
