College Credit Plus

College Credit Plus

Ohio's College Credit Plus program can help students earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from community colleges or universities. The purpose of this program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to college-ready students. Taking a college course through College Credit Plus is free for the student.

The following courses may be offered on-site at the JVS in partnership with Lorain County Community College (LCCC) for the 2019-2020 school year:

  • English Composition 161
  • English Composition 162

Students must meet LCCC's requirements in order to participate in these courses. These requirements include obtaining admission to LCCC and acceptable scores on the ACCUPLACER test and/or ACT college entrance exam.

For more information on College Credit Plus, contact the JVS Student Services office at (440) 774-1051 ext. 22221 or visit the Ohio Department of Education's website or the Ohio Board of Regent's website.
