Spring Sale

The Lorain County JVS Greenhouse will open for its highly anticipated Spring Sale on Monday, April 28, 2025, showcasing a vibrant selection of plants cultivated by students in the Landscape and Greenhouse Management program.

Greenhouse Hours:
  • Monday–Friday: 8:00–10:00 a.m. and 12:00–1:30 p.m.
  • Closed May 1–2 as students attend the State FFA Convention in Columbus
  • Special Mother’s Day Sale: Saturday, May 10, from 8:00 a.m. to noon
Shoppers can expect a wide variety of flowers, hanging baskets, vegetables, perennials, and floral arrangements—all grown and arranged by the talented student team. Prices start at just $3, depending on size and variety.

“This is more than just a plant sale,” said Beth Berthold, instructor of the Landscape and Greenhouse Management program. “It’s a hands-on learning experience that gives our students real-world skills in horticulture, customer service, and business operations.”

The greenhouse is located at Lorain County JVS, 15181 State Route 58, Oberlin.

Greenhouse

The Landscape and Greenhouse Management students host Christmas-Holiday plant sales in December and spring plant sales in May. The greenhouse is located on the south side of the school.

A wide variety of plants are available including holiday poinsettias and greenery, and fresh flowers, annual and vegetable flats, perennials, hanging baskets, ferns, and pouches. Prices range from $3.00-$20.00 depending on size and variety.

The Greenhouse is open for fresh flower arrangements and corsages during the school year. Orders must be placed two days in advance of when needed by calling the program instructor.
