This program will get you started towards a rewarding career in metalworking with the employer-preferred National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certification.
Currently, there are many positions open for skilled metal-workers in this region, and demand is expected to increase even more as the current workforce retires. This program provides hands-on experience with Machining, Blueprint Reading, GD&T, CMM, Shop Math, CNC, Tooling, Measuring, Safety, Metallurgy and Work-Based Instruction.
Our program consistently connects 90-100% of its graduates to jobs in our area! Students participate in a work-based experience in a local manufacturing company and even earn college credit. Class size limited to 20 students.
