The mission of the LCJVS Coordinated School Health Team is to facilitate a school initiative that improves the health and wellness of LCJVS students and staff.
The Team's efforts are designed to foster healthy behavior that will improve the academic performance of students enabling them to become more successful in life. In addition to healthy behaviors, programs developed and implemented by the Team have focused on safety in the workplace and at home, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
Team members include LCJVS staff, LCJVS students, and community health and education experts. The Team works closely with the Lorain County Health Department Coordinated School Health Coalition and embraces the philosophy of the nationally recognized Center for Disease Control health model.
