Lorain County JVS High School has recently been recognized as one of the 73 semi-finalists in the prestigious Career Z Challenge, earning a $20,000 cash prize through the US Department of Education.

Lorain County JVS High School is proud to announce its selection as one of 73 semi-finalists in the national Career Z Challenge through The U.S. Department of Education, an initiative aimed at expanding work-based learning opportunities for Generation Z. This prestigious recognition comes with a $20,000 cash prize, underscoring the school’s commitment to preparing students for leadership roles in the rapidly evolving job market.
More than 250 freshmen took the initial step forward with Lorain County JVS yesterday evening, taking a deep dive into career technical education and their economic contribution to the region at the high school's annual Freshmen Orientation event. Families learned about the school campus, programs, administration and faculty, the event included tours of the campus and what parents/caregivers can expect for the next four years.
