A special celebration took place on the evening of May 9 at the Lorain County JVS to recognize and announce this year’s local scholarship recipients and to induct this year’s Chapter of the National Technical Honor Society. Twenty-three students were awarded $31,900 in scholarship money, and twenty-two students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society.

Lorain County JVS School Counselor, Shannon Meadows, announced the scholarship recipients at the event. “In total, because of many generous Lorain County citizens and groups who believe in our school and its students, the Lorain County JVS has been able to award $31,900 tonight. Students, I know you must feel extremely grateful to have received these scholarships. Congratulations, and all the best for a very bright future!”
