Adult Career Center Graduates Receive Recognition

Khesean Parker holds his daughter and high school diploma

The Lorain County JVS Adult Career Center held its Adult Diploma Program graduation ceremony with thirteen students receiving their high school diplomas and a career-technical certificate.

Cheyanne Painter-Bogle, a graduate of the State Tested Nurse Aide program, served as the student speaker at the ceremony. She shared her journey, expressing that she once doubted she would ever reach this milestone. “When 2023 began, I promised that I would go back to school and stick it out no matter what and get my high school diploma. Not only did I get my diploma and my STNA certification through this experience, but I also got my courage back.”

Dr. Glenn Faircloth, Lorain County JVS superintendent, shared that the event is one of his favorites of the school year. “This is truly a sign of perseverance. The road doesn’t stop here. Keep doing great things and I congratulate you all on accomplishing this goal.”

The Lorain County JVS Adult Career Center’s Adult Diploma Program is an educational initiative made possible through state funding. It offers adults 18 years and older an opportunity to earn a high school diploma, receive training, and earn an industry credential.
