Senior Recognition 2024

2024 Senior Recognition Details

Save the Date!

When and where is the event?
Thursday, May 16 at 10:00 AM

Black River Landing
421 Black River Ln
Lorain OH 44052

The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.  Students need to arrive by 9:15 AM dressed up appropriately for the occasion.

If the weather is severe, the rain date is Friday, May 17th. If we need to move the event to the rain date, we will notify you as soon as possible.

How long is the event?
This event will last approximately two hours. Please expect your student to remain with their class for the entire time. You will have ample opportunity to take photos after the event has finished. Likewise, make sure to plan for the weather. The seating is uncovered, so you may need a raincoat or a sunhat and sunscreen.

How do I get tickets?
Each senior will receive four tickets to Senior Recognition. You can reserve your spots by using the ticketing platform below. A passcode is required to access tickets.
Passcodes will be available closer to the event and will be emailed to your student. Tickets are not yet available.

The deadline for ordering initial tickets is Thursday, May 9. After that point, there may be extra tickets available. If your family needs extra tickets, please contact the high school principal's office by calling 440-774-1051, ext. 22210, or emailing [email protected]. Your name will be placed on a waiting list and an additional passcode will be sent to you if seating is available.

There are no guarantees as to the number of extra tickets available, but we do want to work with you to make sure that your family members can attend!

Where do I park?
Parking is available on-site to the southeast of Black River Landing. Give yourself plenty of time to park and find your seat because the venue is large. Handicapped parking is also available.

**Be careful parking in unaffiliated lots because some businesses will tow vehicles!  Be sure to look at the signage where you park – in the past, several vehicles were towed from the bank parking lot across the street from the venue.

Amenities at Black River Landing
Restrooms are located in two different places at Black River Landing, behind the stage and in the train station to the west of the stage.

Our FFA program is selling bouquets to help you celebrate your special graduate! More information will be available closer to the event.

Bottled water will also be for sale that day.

We are excited to recognize our Seniors and celebrate with you as they get ready for the next steps of their journey! See you soon.
