JVS Donates to Well-Help in Wellington

Beth Berthold makes the delivery to Well-Help Inc. in Wellington

Landscape and Greenhouse Management instructor and FFA Advisor, Beth Berthold, recently donated forty cases of beef sticks to Well-Help Inc. in Wellington.

According to Berthold, with the students being back to remote learning, they were unable to sell the sticks as part of an annual FFA fundraiser.

The money the students would have raised would have been used to fund local FFA Chapter activities such as their end of year banquet, purchasing FFA shirt and other FFA related items. Berthold said the chapter did receive a grant from the National FFA Organization to help their chapter and others that have been impacted by COVID-19.

“It felt good that we were able to give back to the local community, especially during the holiday season,” said Berthold. “Since we are learning virtually right now, there was really no way for us to sell them, and we certainly did not want them to go to waste.”

Berthold shared that the team at Well-Help Inc. was grateful and said they would be distributing them right away.
