The Lorain County JVS provides counseling services to every JVS student. Each student is assigned a counselor based on their associate school.
Counselors will help students to develop a better understanding of their abilities, attitudes, interests and responsibilities. They will help students with their educational, career-technical, or personal concerns. To see a counselor during school hours, a student must obtain their teacher's permission.
Upon entering the Student Services office area, students are required to sign in on the iPad with the front desk.
Students may see a counselor if they have concerns about: graduation credit requirements, scheduling, scholarships, college counseling, armed services, personal or family crisis, grief management, study skills, learning disabilities, or tutoring.
To contact a counselor, call the Student Services Office at (440) 774-1051 ext. 22221. You may also contact them directly using the extensions listed below.
