Disability Services

Students with disabilities requiring accommodations should notify their instructor and contact a Supervisor to provide documentation of the disability. As required by Section 504 of the ADA, the JVS Adult Career Center will provide appropriate accommodations for the students with documented disabilities. For some programs, accommodations are limited by the essential functions of the job for which the student is preparing. Our overall goal is to provide students with the skills and abilities to be prepared for entry into unsubsidized employment.

The Adult Career Center also works with several local organizations which provide support for adults with disabilities. Problem, questions or concerns regarding compliance with Title IX or Section 504, should be referred to Keith Blalock, Title IX Coordinator, Ext: 22273 or Denise Scarpucci, 504 Coordinator, Ext: 22262.
